Overseas Cypriots who do not have Cypriot citizenship may enter Cyprus without a visa and stay and work in Cyprus without formalities for an unlimited period of time.

For a position in which you are required to be a Cypriot citizens (e.g. Permanent Public Servants, Associations, Societies, Doctors, Dentists, Lawyers, Civil Engineers, Architects, Estate Agents etc) citizenship must be acquired before you can be accepted for work in these professions.

Alien persons married to Cypriot citizens do not acquire any privileges or rights by reason of their marriage immediately and must apply for registration as aliens and for a permit for temporary residence before they can work in Cyprus.
